Not really, his "religion" is humanistic socialism. The time he gaffed and said "his muslim background" it wasn't because he was fondly remembers his islamic childhood, its because he always fishing for a, uh, a, uh, word to convey what he thinks the audience wants to hear. He just stumbled.
